We were hiking and fishing trip at the Repokaira-wilderness with my wife few years ago. This is very wide wilderness and Lemmenjoki national park is part of this wilderness. It was August and very good fishing season. We started our trip in Kalmankaltio. Kalmankaltio is located near village Nunnanen. We spent three week at wilderness. We gathered very much food from nature. For example fishes, mushrooms, berries and herbs. So we hadn't too much food to carry.
This is Korsatunturi-fell. Once upon a time that lapland hadn't any roads...all people who want to travel Inari or Ivalojoki gold area, must to traveled via Korsajärvi lake. First people paddle few hundred kilometers along Kemijoki river and then along Ounasjoki river. At last people arrived Tepastojoki river and then little Vietkajoki river. The end of the Vietkajoki river people must pull their boat along the svamp to Korsajärvi lake near fell Korsatunturi. Then water pour toward Ivalojoki river and Inarijärvi lake.
